Write this in your web.config file
<connectionStrings>
<add name="AnyNameForConnection" connectionString="Data Source= ServerName; initial Catalog=Database_name;User id=YourUserName; Password=YourPassword" />
</connectionStrings>
then create a new class in your application or write in your any existing class
using System.Configuration;
using System.Data.SqlClient;
public class yourclassname
{
public static SqlConnection GetConnected()
{
SqlConnection conn = new SqlConnection(ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["AnyNameForConnection"].ToString());

return conn;
}
}
